White killer whale adult spotted for first time in wild

The world's only male white orca was spotted by a group of Russian scientists in the chilly waters of Kamchatka Peninsula off to Russia's Commander Islands in the Bering Sea. The researchers named the white orca 'Iceberg' based on the rare all white color.

The site just released the rare white orca photos, but the footage was actually from 2010 voyage. Iceberg is believed to be about 16 years old based on the length towering fins. Site stated, "In many ways, Iceberg is a symbol of all that is pure, wild and extraordinarily exciting about what is out there in the ocean waiting to be discovered."

The white orca whale has no genetic data yet but the researcher are hoping to meet them again in summer 2012 and learn more about the great white whales. Perhaps Iceberg is a true albino where they can catch a glimpse of a pink eye. Orca whale also possess intelligence rarely found in any sea creature. Seeing it on photo is made Iceberg as one of the most beautiful orcas anyone has ever seen.
