Victoria Beckham Debuts Range Rover Evoque, Her Design

Victoria Beckham debuted her baby off-roader “Range Rover Evoque” during the Beijing motor show at Cafa Art Museum in Beijing, China on Sunday. With a price tag of £80,000, the first models of the car to come in a special edition of just 200 exclusive units will only be available in China market as early as October.

“I’m really happy with the car. I’m very proud of it. I’m excited to see what people think of it,” said the famous fashion designer turned car designer. She also added that the Range Rover Evoque was designed for David, her international soccer star husband. Mrs. Beckham said: "I wanted to design a car David and I would want to drive. I want a car that reflects my personality. I want everyone who gets in to feel special."

The four-seater luxury coupe, which was built at Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood factory on Merseyside is painted in a stealth grey matt exterior paint. It features a 20 inch gloss-black forged alloy wheels with discrete rose gold accents and vintage-inspired leather seats. Some interior trim also includes textured aluminium, black laquers and veneers.

In designing the car, the former spice girl dubbed as “Posh Spice” revealed that she had done her due diligence by doing a lot of research.

“I created mood boards to show the team my love of timeless and classic design. I looked at yachts, luxury jets and classic cars,” said the 37-year old mother of four.

The Telegraph suggests that all 200 Special Editions will be sold in China- the world’s biggest and fastest growing car market and aims to woo the super-rich and growing middle class in the Communist country.
