A total of 43 dead on Friday has caused a collision between a truck and a bus they were traveling farm workers, registered on a highway in the state of Veracruz in eastern Mexico, as reported by the government of that district. "A total of 43 people who died in this accident," announced Gina Dominguez, spokesman for the state government of Veracruz on the Gulf of Mexico.
The accident took place around 4.30 am (9.30 GMT) on the road at Potrero Alamo municipality, according to Civil Protection. Apparently the incident occurred when a trailer platform slid crashing the bus, rented to transport farm workers from Coatzacoalcos (Veracruz) to the northern state of Cohuila, added the spokesman. Dominguez could not specify the number of people traveling on the bus, but has said that rescue efforts have been completed.
