Lafayette Louisiana. Lafayette Police spokesman Corporal Paul Mouton reported on no one was injured in a bank robbery that occured around 11:55am on Saturday at an Iberia Bank located on 4010 West Congress Street.
The bank robbery suspect came into the bank, approached the teller and showed the teller a knife and demanded cash. The bank teller gave the robbery suspect the undisclosed amount of money that was demanded and the bank robbery suspect left the bank.
Eyewitness described the bank robbery suspect as a female of olive skinned complexion, in her 40s who was wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans. The bank robbery suspect is driving a dark colored Buick automobile from the 1980s.
The Lafayete police are asking anyone with information in this case to call the Lafyette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS.
