Class of malaysians leaders ( third class atitude )

Kuala Lumpur,21 st April 2012 - The current Minister of Finance II Datuk Husni Hanazllah told his voters that he is the poorest members of parliament. That is yet to be proven. But from the inputs we get on the ground, the MP is not popular among his division UMNO members because he refused to help them in getting projects from the government.

Umno leaders gained popularity in the party by making sure their members make money through government projects, mostly by system of direct negotiations or with the recommendations of party leaders who hold key positions in the cabinet. Last few days former navy first admiral Hj Imran exposed how navy equipments procured triple the original prices within a few weeks and done by direct negotiations. Hj Imran said defence equipments like patrol boats prices skyrocketing to billion of ringgit. Hj Imran is now a PAS member, an opposition party gaining popularity in Malay dominated states. The ongoing Scorpene case in Paris, is another embarrassing episode in Malaysian history. Every year the government will proudly announce that our world ranking on corruption has improved. We are better than this or that states. But Malaysians by and large are not proud at all with the current ranking. Members of parliament were voted by the people to represent them, to voice their needs,to bring changes and reforms, but not to make millions, to earn kickbacks or in their term"commissions" and live like a multi billionaire corporate moghuls. Most UMNO leaders are filthy rich people. It's hard to write a story on a "poor" UMNO leader. An UMNO leader who lives within their means. This has been a culture and it seems to be deep rooted in the system. If we are to reform it, the whole party system has to be overhauled. Overhaul in car maintenance means the engine has to undergo complete check and the price paid is going to be very, very expensive. In every UMNO annual assembly, leaders took to the rostrum with the most deafening tone, urging members to collectively fight corruption, vote for members who are clean, while seconds ago just before he was addressing the floor, he was complaining for not getting projects from certain Ministry as both parties could not agree on the amount of commissions. The scenario continues every year. More reforms were put on the table. Election day is just around the corner. And the shouts of reforms could be heard even at the most remote areas in the states. And the leaders will don the same dress of political actors, playing another episodes of soap, putting a similar face of sympathy, engaging in another sobbing dialogue, subtly reminding them of losing political power and stuffing the people with stories of insecure future if they vote for oppositions. What a political strategy ! The people will remain in their humble abode regardless who rule the government after the 13th General Election. The BN and UMNO leaders are the one who should be trembling in fear if UMNO lose the election. The game is over! We have to switch off and move to another more level playing
