George Zimmerman Arrested And Charged With Murder In The Trayvon Martin Shooting

George Zimmerman apologized to the parents of teenager Trayvon Martin who he had gunned down and the Court has set a bail of $150-G for him as he waits for trials to get underway – this has been reported in Foxnews of 20th April 2012.

While apologizing to Martin’s parents, Zimmermann has apparently said in court that he did not know that Trayvon was only 17-years old and also that he was unarmed.

George Zimmerman is facing second degree murder charges for the death of the 17-year old in the gated community of Sanford, Florida.

Zimmermann claimed that the shooting was in self defense.

The lawyer of Zimmerman has requested that he be allowed to move out to another state because of threats made against him and he be permitted to wear a GPS monitor which could keep track of his whereabouts.

Zimmerman has already surrendered his passport at the start of the hearing and a number of restrictions have been imposed on him – he cannot have any firearm, he cannot drink alcohol, he cannot use illegal drugs and he must observe curfew between 7pm and 6am.
