Romney Speaks at an Abandoned Warehouse

To prove that the economy is still in recovery status, eventual GOP candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney spoke from an abandoned warehouse in Lorain, OH. The goal of the entire event was to prove that Pres. Obama's economic plans are not working.

"Had the President's economic plans worked, President Obama's plans worked, it (the warehouse) would have been open by now."

This statement by Romney is a political ploy used to show that the economy is fledgling because one warehouse in Ohio is still closed. Don't be fooled; in any administration, warehouses across the nation close. That's the cycle of business.

Second, if Pres. Obama's economic plan was not working, then the abandoned warehouse would have closed during the past four years he has been in office. Nope! This warehouse closed during the tenure of former President George W. Bush.

If Romney wanted the example to have an impact, then he should have located a warehouse that has shuttered its doors within the past four years. Therefore, this attempt to bash the economy failed. Better luck next time. At the very least, he is good at bashing cookies.
