Yesterday afternoon, the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Chicago White Sox 5-3 at US Cellular Field in Chicago. However, the highlight of the game was taken away from the players.
In the top of the seventh inning, a child that was about four or five years old was able to sneak past security and started running on to the field. He was running around in left field going towards center when he was picked up by LF Dayan Viciedo. Viciedo carried the child over to security in the left field stands.
It took security a few minutes to find the child's parents. Once they were found, the entire family was kicked out. Fortunately, the child was not hurt as he ran on to the field during play because he could have been hit with a line drive.
This incident is a microcosm of the nation's problem of parents neglecting to be parents. Some people do not need to be parents. Some sort of test should be done to determine whether or not a person would be capable of taking care of a child. If the person fails the test, then a doctor would sterilize that person.
