A twin-engine plane flew in circles the Gulf of Mexico for several hours until fuel runs out and drop into the water after the pilot lost consciousness at the command of the aircraft.

The U.S. Coast Guard announced on Thursday that the horizontal plane landed in the water without suffering any damage.

The plane, a Cessna 421C particular, was escorted in his descent by two fighters move U.S. military, which found that the pilot was unconscious, reports Reuters.

Steve Lehmann, spokesman for the U.S. Coast Guard, said that a boat was sent to the crash site, but the whereabouts of the pilot is still unknown.
