Pakistanis hold anti-US protest in tribal areas

Pakistan Army soldiers have launched a big operation in Bajaur Agency, tribal areas situated on Pak-Afghan border. Bajaur Press Club Building has also been cordoned by the security forces as according to them, several suicide bombers have entered the town.

The whole town is under terror at the moment as army soldiers are in state of high alert. A soldier has told the members of the Press Club to remain in the building till final clearance. "Actually we have the information that several suicide bombers have entered Bajaur Agency and this is the reason that we are unable to allow journalists to move freely," a soldier on the Press Club gate told this correspondent when he tried to leave the building.

Security forces have also arrested several people last night during their raids on the residential areas. Some of the residents think that security forces have been harassing the local people without any reason.

According to reports, the government of Pakistan has deliberately been spoiling the peace of tribal areas as in this way they will get more time for launching more operations in the areas.

Journalists community has condemned the harassment of journalists. They have demanded that the government of Pakistan must ensure the security of journalists.
