Students at the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY, will be protesting Republican presidential nominee hopeful Congressman Ron Paul's visit on Thursday to "take away the aura that college students blindly follow Ron Paul and hopefully encourage our peers not to do the same," one DREAM Team member said.

"Personally, I feel it is my responsibility to legally protest a documented racist politician that is against birth-right citizenship, welfare and the DREAM Act" said another.

In the 1990's Ron Paul published a series of racist newsletters. Over 40 examples, as well as a letter on Congressional stationary regarding an antisemitic magazine and signed by the candidate, can be found here (link).

In December 25th edition of the New York Times, founder of the white nationalist website Stormfront claimed to have several dozen members working on Paul's campaign.

Along with the DREAM Act, Ron Paul also opposes the Civil Rights Act and, according to his official website, Paul wants to "end birhright citizenship" and pass a National Right to Work law which will cripple the bargaining power of unions to fight for fair wages.
