Legendary US radio and television presenter and producer Dick Clark, pictured in 2010, died Wednesday at age 82

Twitter explode of outpouring massages when news of TV icon Dick Clark has died, as reported in CBS. The news broke out by TMZ, that Dick Clark suffered a massive heart attack after undergoing a surgery of a stroke in the hospital Tuesday night. Clark suffered stroke in 2004 and was also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. He was 82.

Dick Clark is legendary TV host and producer started his career as radio announcer at the age of 17. His TV hosting career was showcased in American Banstand from 1956 to 1988, the longest hosting gig in his career. Dick Clark has been a big part of the music industry as as he was the man who launched American Music Awards in 1973.

His famous Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve began in 1972 and continues to this day with Ryan Seacrest. His final appearance was on 2011 and after that New Year’s Eve will never be the same. Dick Clark trended in Twitter as well as New Years Eve as people remembered his work and contribution in American entertainment industry.
