After 15 years journey, England Women's football captain Faye White will miss the Olympics after declaring she is expecting her first child.
Fay White 34 years of age, had won 90 matches and make a journey of 15 years with England women’s football team has now been ended. She made her debut in 1997 against Scotland. She stated that she is pregnant and she is going to be a mum of her first child expecting in October. She told that she has also spoken to the EN coach Hope Powell, and this could be the signal to end the journey.
Fay White madder her debut as centre- half and lead her country at 4 major tournaments, 2 European Championships and 2 World Cups. She has recovered from knee injury and she has yet to decide whether she will retire permanently. She had to have keyhole surgery on both of her knees and she said it is quite difficult to come back for her. She said she will recover from this injury too as she did in the past, but her international career will end now and she will go to playing and training in the New Year.
Powell wished her all the best for her future and said she has been a tremendous player and leader for him and she is a role model.
