The authorities in Mexico have discovered 14 dismembered bodies of 14 youths in their 30s from a minivan in Nuevo Laredo, a border town just across Laredo, Texas as reported in herald sun dated 18th April 2012.
The bodies had been packed in black plastic bags and the information had been given to the police by an anonymous informant.
Alongside the bodies was a message for a rival drug gang leader – hence, it is presumed that this killing is yet another result of the continuing drug land violence.
Such violence has severely affected the credibility of Mexico in the outside world.
Till now, more than 50,000 people have lost their lives in this mindless violence and revenge killings between the two most powerful cartels namely the Zeta gang and the Gulf gang. The fights are for control of lucrative trade routes for the contraband.
