Missoni fans, Swedish flooring company Bolon has made a collaboration with Italian fashion house of Missoni and the result is a line called Bolon by Missoni.
To celebrate this creative merger of functionality and design that offers colorful woven flooring by Missoni Home, the flooring collection is holding a show at the Missoni showroom on Via Solferino, as part of 2012 Milan Design Week between April 17 and 22 in Milan, Italy.
The first day of this show was captured on film, including several of Milan’s colorful crowd and A-listers, including Francesca Versace, Jasmine Abdellatif, Philippe Starck, Paolo Kessisoglu and Sabrina Donadel.
Fashionista Ronny Morena may have been wearing a Missoni dress – the stripes and colorful print was seemingly typical of a Missoni number – but the zigzag patterened clutch bag was decidedly Missoni!
Paola Maugeri clearly wore a skirt by Missoni, with its distinct stripes and chevron pattern in colors of teal, brown and gold.
The Bolon by Missoni line is based on the quintessential Missoni design philosophy, combining an energetic and decorated Avant-garde style that is meant to be fun.
Bolon by Missoni is available in three models Bayadere, Flame and Optical, with each offering a different color palettes, resulting in at least nine different patterns.
Speaking about their new flooring line collaboration with Bolon, Rosita Missoni, Creative Director of Missoni Home said that they were “amazed by Bolon’s weaving technology and their ability to translate the language of our motives into a modern, innovative and colorful flooring collection. A very important added value to the Missoni Home project.”
The designs certainly seem very vibrant and uplifting and add a lot of Italian style to its Swedish functionality. Take a look at the slide show…
