First there's a bird, now comes the squirrel. On Saturday afternoon, the team and staff of the St. Louis Cardinals were presented the 2011 World Series rings and yes, the rally squirrel was immortalized on the side of the bling.
Back in October, a bizarre squirrel jolted the Busch Stadium during the St. Louis Cardinals playoff game, as Yahoo pointed out. Little did Tony La Russa know, it jumpstart their infamous playoff run to the 2011 World Series. The rodent somehow becomes so popular that they forgot there was Fredbird first. The rally squirrel has been featured in the ring as part of the history commemorating the St, Louis Cardinals 11th world championship.
If the rally squirrel can repeat it's performance this season even without Albert Pujols, the bird would be so worried being replaced as St Louis Cardinal's logo. The team would be called St. Louis Squirrels.
