Juan Manuel Marquez vs Serhiy Fedchenko live blog for round-by-round updates via HBO pay per view. The main event will start a little after 11:30PM ET live from Arena Ciudad in Mexico City.

The Marquez-Fedchenko title bout is part of a big championship pay-per-view card that will begin in Las Vegas right after the lightweight championship fight featuring Brandon Rios and Richard Abril.

Marquez, 53-6-1 (39 KOs) is the most talented technical fighter in his generation having no signs of giving up boxing as 38 years old. He proved boxing genuis by taming the most ferocious fighter Manny Pacquiao in most of their controversial three fights. Marquez also entered as the # 6 fighter pound-for-pound according to the The Ring Magazine.

Fedchenko is also proving to be tough dough with a record 30-1 (13 KOs). But the Ukranian is a 14/1 beting underdog, was unranked compared to the Mexican. Marquez 10-9. Marquez agressive and pushing the pace. Looking to open up & put on a show. Fedchenko starting slow ... Fedchenko is nervous, while Marquez is trying to feel/measure him out

Marquez 10-9 JMM has Fedchenko hurt with some series good shots but Fedchenko still on his feet, as crowd roar for a KNOCKDOWN from JMM. Fedchenko backs off as Marquez charges and fires and tries to finish him. But Fedchenko finishes still standing. Unanimous Decision for hometown hero Marquez.

As the crowd roars, Marquez keep pounding on Serhiy in the last round but cannot finish him off. Good boxing nevertheless.

Juan Manuel Marquez wins by Unanimous Decision. The judges score it 119-109, 118-110, and 118-110.
