
The massive hail storm hits Texas Panhandle left a 4 feet of hail in the desert, according to CSMonitor. Authorities needed a snow plows just to clear muddy piles of hail that were brought by the storm in Route 287 in Texas. .
In Amarillo Texas, some morotist were helpless when their vehicles were partially buried in the hail. The Texas Panhandle storm dumped huge amount of hail that stranded motorists in muddy drift for several hours.
Emergency workers also got several rescue calls as the road was flooded in low-lying areas but there were no reported injuries. The 287 route southbound lane was shut down around 5 p.m. Wednesday, and reopened early Thursday morning. Some religious group tied the phenomenon as the great hail that was mentioned in the Bible and was reffered to as apocalyptic. Check the 4 feet of hail video.
