38.4ºC in Clark, hottest so far

Last month was the warmest April on record in Britain, with an average temperature of 10.7 degrees Celsius

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recorded yesterday the warmest weather in the country so far this year at 38.4 degrees Celsius in Clark Field, Pampanga.

PAGASA weather forecaster Jun Galang said the warmest weather was recorded in Clark at around 2 p.m.

He said that in Metro Manila, the highest temperature was recorded last Thursday at 35.3 degrees Celsius.

PAGASA records showed that the warmest temperatures recorded include 38.5 degrees Celsius in Sangley Point, Cavite on May 14, 1987.

PAGASA said the highest temperature reported so far in the country was at 42.2 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao, Cagayan on May 11, 1969.
