The ‘black widow’ spider eats its mate after mating!! This is the case of a human ‘Black Widow’, a woman who killed three men she had dated.

The verdict of the terrible 2009 murders of the three men by a 37-year old woman is now out – Kanae Kijima, the woman, has been sentenced to death.

The three men who died after enjoying her company were Kenzo Ando, an 80-year old man in Chiba prefecture in January-2009, a 53-year old man Takao Terada of Tokyo in March-2009 and Yoshiyuki Oide, a 41-year old in Saitana prefecture in August-2009.

She had met the men through internet dating sites and killed them by using carbon-monoxide fumes from burning briquettes in their homes – this is apparently a fairly common method of suicide in Japan.

The verdict is based on circumstantial evidence because she had bought sleeping pills and coal briquettes and also that she had met each of the men shortly before their deaths.

It seems she had taken money from each of them and did not want to give it back – that was the motive. When they pressed her to return the money, she decided to eliminate them.
