The Poet's Corner: Ode To The War On Women

Rush Limbaugh, a rightwing radio talk show host, called Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke

It first started off because Catholic entities did not want to pay for employees' contraception.

That's when the Republicans stepped in to do a Congressional investigation.

The hearing was so cold that everyone in the building should have been wearing flannel.

The problem was that they were talking about women's health issues with no women on the panel.

People began to protest so much that they almost began to puke.

They wanted a woman on the panel, so they suggested Sandra Fluke.

On a day when his Oxycontin supply must have been cut,

Rush Limbaugh berated her and called her a slut.

Then, the GOP's war on women siren began to sound

Because in Virginia, they attempted to pass a law approving vaginal ultrasound.

The claim was that this test could change the mind of women that were attempting to have an abortion.

The true fact is that most abortions are done by minorities, so the GOP wanted to maintain its economic distortion.

They continued to be up to no good,

When their main goal has been to defund Planned Parenthood.

However, the war on women was denied by Sen. Mitch McConnell from Kentucky.

Nobody believed him because everybody knows that whatever comes out of his mouth is rather sucky.

It appeared that the Republicans were losing this public debate and were completely frozen,

Until a verbal gaffe was made by Hilary Rosen.

She ripped on stay-at-home moms when she disrespected Ann Romney.

There was no need to say anything because in Mormonism, there is no such thing as gender equality.

In their religion, polygamy is legal, which lowers the worth of a woman's value.

That's why women are fighting; they no longer want to be considered an object of a guy's perverted menu.
