KOLKATA, India (Sat, Apr 14) – Sharukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who were struggling in the initial stages of IPL Season 5, seems to be coming in good winning rhythm with successive victories.
In the single match of day ten of IPL 2012, KKR humbled Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a relatively low-scoring affair at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
After been deciding to bat after winning the toss Rajastha had a good enough, if not flying, start with skipper(28 off 27) and hero of first their first victory Ajunkya Rahane (19 off 16); but the middle order struggled to pick the momentum while saving the wickets for the death overs and ultimately finished at 131/5.
Kolkata get past the target in the final over with 4 balls to spare losing just five wickets. Top five batsmen contributed effectively and equally to register their second victory of IPL 5.
KKR have moved on to fourth spot on points table improving from number six; while Rajasthan have dropped down one step to finish at number five. Mumbai are still leading the table with 6 points. Detailed points table is presented above.
