and Brad Pitt are officially “engaged” say the big bold headlines! And it took only seven years of togetherness, and a bunch of adopted children and three by Angelina to make the couple make it all “legal” that they are indeed a couple and a family.
This may come as “news” today Friday the 13 of April no less, but there were rumors that the two may be engaged since Angelina was seen wearing what looked like an “engagement” style ring on her wedding finger during a visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries on Wednesday.
Then a representative for Robert Procop, a jeweler who has made jewelry for Angelina and Brad, said that Robert Procop has indeed designed an engagement ring for Jolie, 36, which was designed in collaboration with Pitt, 48.
Of the engagement ring, Robert Procop says that it took a year to make and it’s all about Brad’s vision for what the ring should look like and symbolize.
Word has it the ring was first sourced, then intricate faceting was cut into the band that fits Angelina’s long and slender fingers.
The diamond centerpiece is like an elongated tablet, and then there is a whole “galaxy” of smaller stones which are graduated in size and faceted to match, that adds a “crowing luster” to the ring.
Angelina and Brad have six children together, three of which they had together, Shiloh, 5, and the 3-year-old twins, a son named Knox Léon, and a daughter, Vivienne Marcheline, who were born on July 12, 2008. Their adopted children are Maddox, 10, Pax, 8 and Zahara, 7.
This will be Brad Pitt’s second marriage, who was previously married tofrom 2000 to 2005, and the third for Angelina Jolie, who has tied the knot with between 1996 and 1999 and who she was married to from 2000 to 2003.
If the ring took a year to envision, design and make, that means the engagement has been on Brad Pitt’s mind for over a year… Congratulations to Brangelina!
