...and it's a shocker!!!!!

It’s another results night on “American Idol”. Via his Twitter account executive producer Nigel Lythgoe relayed that he was shocked by the results. As Ryan Seacrest asks, did America get it right or is it another case like Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry?

The show opens with the top seven performing “Raise Your Glass” by Pink with Ryan getting in on the fun at the end of the song.

This week in the Ford Music Video, the Idols get a little education.

Kellie Pickler, Jazzmine Sullivan, and Skyler Grey all sent Tweets to the Idols who sang their songs last night. Colton and Hollie received prom invitations in the mail. And one fan sent Elise and Steven some handmade feather jewelry.

Time for some results and first up are Hollie and Jessica. It has come to the time of the season where Ryan forms two groups on the stage and doesn’t reveal who is safe and who is not.

The first performance of the night was from season 10 rocker James Durbin singing “Higher than Heaven” from his debut album “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster”. Along with recording an album in the past year, James also got married on New Year’s Eve. Fellow Idols in attendance were Stefano Langono as the best man and bass man Casey.

Back to the results…with Phillip and Elise. Phillip joins Hollie and Elise joins Jessica.

The only Idol alum to win a Grammy Award and an Oscar, Jennifer Hudson returns to the Idol stage to perform with Ne-Yo. Besides winning the Academy Award for her role of Best Supporting Actress in “Dreamgirls”, Hudson won the BAFTA (British Oscar) for Best Supporting Actress in “Dreamgirls”.

Time for more results with Joshua and Colton. Joshua joins Jessica and Elise; while Colton joins Hollie and Phillip.

Skylar waits alone on the sofa in confusion as Ryan asks if anyone has figured it out yet. Skylar is safe but Ryan wants her to pick the group she should join; Skylar refuses. Ryan places her with Hollie, Phillip, and Colton; meaning Jessica, Joshua, and Elise are in the bottom three.

Randy calls it a ridiculous bottom three and America got it so wrong. Steven says that they will use the card this week.

Joshua is safe!

It’s down to Elise and Jessica…

Elise is safe; leaving Jessica as the bottom singer who must sing for her life and in danger of being eliminated. Jessica only sings a few measures when Jennifer comes on stage, followed by the other judges, and says give me that mic, this is crazy. Jennifer tells Jessica to go sit down. Randy announces that they are using their only save of the season on Jessica. He calls Jessica one of the best singers in America and reminds fans to vote for the best.
