Tension On Scarborough Shoal

DFA Press Conference - Panatag Shoal - 11 April 2012

Until these moment the Philippine government still aware on the issue of the Scarborough Shoul. Day ago it was reported that a chinese vessel loaded with some marine life including these corals and live small sharks have been caught by Philippine coastguard. The place was reported as Philippine territory and was also claimed by Chinese government as theirs.

The tension was increasing when one Chinese survellance Vessel arrived this afternoon on the Scarborough Shoul. The Philippine Coastguard Vessel come back to Palawig just to ask food supply from the government and to report also what was happening on the Vessels, the other one was left to guard the Chinese vessels.
