Angry local residents chopped off the ears of a man suspected to have planted a bomb in which innocent lives had been lost – an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
It seems a roadside bomb blast in the Garmser district of Helmand, Afghanistan, took the lives of two teenagers and seriously injured six other children when an explosion ripped through their vehicle as reported in Canada.com of 12th April 2012.
The locals immediately nabbed the suspect who had planted the bomb and began to beat him up mercilessly – they wanted to take revenge by hanging him in public in retaliation.
But the police arrived in time to prevent the public execution and rescued the suspect – however, the locals had already chopped off his ears by then!!
Statistics of the UN reveals that more than 3000 civilians have lost their lives in the Afghanistan war in 2011 – and most of those had been engineered by the Taliban.
