After killing his girlfriend, a Brooklyn man jumps to death Tuesday. Suspect identified as Efriam Gabourel, allegedly slashed girlfriend Liliana Belfor’s throat and then jumped off the building’s roof. Sources said that Efriam’s mother called police upon discovery of Liliana’s dead body in her son’s Roebling St. apartment.
Efriam Gabourel’s mother told cops that she had gone to Efriam’s apartment, alongside her 14-year-old daughter at around 8 p.m. The apartment located at the Williamsburg’s William Plaza Houses was locked from inside. She said Efriam was inside but due to some reason; he was not willing to open the door and let them in.
Eventually he unlocked the chain after a while but his mother and sister were surprised to see him moving all over his apartment. According to a police source, both the women went to one of the bathrooms at home and to their disbelief; they discovered Liliana Belfor’s lifeless body inside the bathtub.
It was a horrible sight, said the mother; poor 29-year-old Liliana’s throat had been slashed. Meanwhile, Gabourel found his moment and slipped out of the house. Extremely horrified, the women dialed 911 and upon cops’ arrial; Gabourel allegedly ran up to the roof, sources said.
The cops rushed after Gabourel (a.k.a. Banks among friends) and found him standing on the ledge of the rooftop. Before anyone could reach any closer; he jumped down and killed himself. The matter was being investigated and the officers were questioning Banks’ friends who said Gabourel was pretty quiet in nature. Some of his friends informed the cops that Liliana was kind of jealous girl therefore the duo always had troubles.
