A report from the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that in year 2010 teenager birth rates sanks.

It is the lowest since 1940 as the government starts tracking data with figures 34.3 births per 1,000 girls ages 15 to 19 yers old. It is been trending down for several years already. Delaware's rate was reported at 30.5, which puts it 31st on the list of states. New Hampshire had the lowest rate, at 15.7 births, and Mississippi had the highest, 55 births per 1,000.

A study conducted shows that American teenagers are far more likely to give birth than those in any industrialized country in the world and teenage childbirth is more likely among poor girls.

Experts cannot give detailed explanation on lower numbers of childbirth teen but they considers that sex education being given to youths is a great help. Some says that best prevention would be actually a greatest investments for girls a key for its success.
