According to ESPN, the Arkansas Razorbacks will fire college football head coach. A press conference has been scheduled for later this evening by Athletic Director Jeff Long.
It's weird that someone could be fired for falling off of a motorcycle, but the problem for the Razorbacks was that Petrino was riding with Jessica Dorrell, an employee of the football program instead of by himself or with his wife.
There's no way he would be able to recruit any more players to go to Fayetteville. No parent would have placed their children at a college in which one of the influences would have been a man that lacks commitment to family. I'm surprised that Arkansas was as good as it has been over the past two years because Petrino quit on the Atlanta Falcons.
It's sad to see the boomerang of life hit Bobby Petrino square in the head, but he will eventually land a job at a smaller college in 2013. Petrino is an offensive genius. If UTEP head coach Mike Price was able to land a job after his debacle with Alabama, then just about anyone can receive a second chance coaching a college football team.
