Jobless man commits suicide in Lagos

Ahmed Omobumbe, a jobless Nigerian resident in Ajangbadi area of Lagos on Easter day allegedly committed suicide in his one room apartment
Our reporter learnt that the 42year old man, who is resident at Orisan Street, Ajangbadi was jobless and the frustrations triggered off by his inability to get a job has taken it toll on his health.
According to sources in the area, when his wife could not endure the situation, she was said to have abandoned the two children she had for the man and left him.
However, on Saturday night, when the man could not bear it any longer, he was allege to have hanged himself after the children had gone to bed.
Joseph Jaiyeoba, Lagos police spokesman confirmed the incident to our reporter, saying that "The deceased and his wife didn't live together but he lives with his two children and investigations revealed that he must have been frustrated due to a certain illness.
According to the police image maker, "his corpse was initially taken to a mortuary but was subsequently taken to his home town in Edo State where he'll be buried."
