There appears to be no respite for Yemen from violence unleashed by the al-Qaeda terror groups as understood from report in Canada.com dated 9th April 2012.
24 persons are reported to have been killed in a fresh spate of attacks early in the morning by al-Qaeda on army barracks in a military base in south Yemen.
The attackers had been hiding in the rugged mountainous regions to the east and north of Loder.
The clash was with soldiers of the 111th Light Brigade positioned in Loder in the province of Abyan which is believed to be a stronghold of the terror network.
The city of Loder is situated 150-Km from Zinjibar, the capital of the Abyan province.
It seems 15 of those dead were gunmen of al-Qaeda and they have been taken to the local town of Jaar. The dead also included five soldiers and four tribesmen.
