A rescue worker walks next to miners during the rescue operation of nine miners trapped at Cabeza de Negro gold-and-copper mine in Ica

Nine miners are still trapped in a mine after the entrance collapsed on Thursday. So far, rescuers have been able to send liquids to the miners through a hose.

However, their rescue could be many days away because of the lack of organization in Peru. As of now, firefighters and volunteer rescue workers are using pickaxes and shovels in a vain attempt to remove around 26 feet of dirt.

Are there any bulldozers in Peru?
