Bubba Watson has just won the 76th US Masters, beating the South African Louis Oosthuizen in a “sudden death” playoff on Sunday on April 8, 2012 in Augusta, Georgia.
Bubba Watson of the United States was awarded his very own green jacket by golfer Charl Schwartzel of South Africa, following his one-stroke playoff victory during the 2012 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.
The self-taught left-handed 33-year-old golfer born in Bagdad, Florida, took his miracle shot with his bubblegum-pink driver during the second play-off of the tournament to beat the South African Louis Oosthuizen to win.
Watson rolled his first to within six inches before completing the task, taking a most-memorable wedge shot, trumping the historic double-eagle 2 that Oosthuizen dropped on the second green which had taken him to an early lead in the final round, but it just wasn’t meant to be!
Bursting into tears as he embraced Molly, his mother, by the side of the green, Bubba claimed, “I never got this far in my dreams,” donning the coveted green jacket, presented to him by South African Charl Schwartzel, who won last year.
Both Watson and Oosthuizen finished regulation at 10-under 278. Congratulations to Bubba Watson for his amazing win!
And since I normally write about fashion and clothes, that is a rather hot looking green jacket on Bubba Jackson, isn’t it?
