It’s the series finale on “Q’Viva” and the final performers are chosen for the big show in Mandalay Bay on May 26.
This week the remaining performers make a road trip to Las Vegas where the final artists will be chosen.
Director Jamie King calls it the biggest Latin party on Earth. He notes that the arena is the biggest place the representatives of the 21 countries have ever been a part of and foresees a number of challenges for the performers.
Jennifer explained to the artists that they have created five categories for the show – Latin culture, ritual, Pride, Passion, and unity. The show will feature each performer’s talents as they work to put Jennifer, Jamie, and Marc’s vision into a production. Still in Los Angeles, the performers work on their part in the production in hopes of securing a spot in the show. In less than two days the artists must perform for Jennifer, Marc, and Jamie in hopes of securing a spot in the Q’Viva cast.
After seeing all of the performances Jennifer, Marc, and Jamie meet up to discuss…and argue…about who will get cut and who will stay, make the move to Las Vegas, and become a part of the cast of “Q’Viva”.
During the process, Sing Latina was the only group that had not lost any of its members…until the last cut when two of the members were cut from the cast.
Jamie had a surprise for some of the artists, giving them a break from rehearsals he presented them with tickets for the Michael Jackson Immortal show. He also wanted to show them what a show was like.
The next morning it was back to work. The three singers all had to perform one more time to sing for their lives and to convince Marc they deserved to remain in the cast.
Time for more deliberations…and more announcements, but after calling a few of the performers to the front, Marc announced that no one was being cut.
And moving day has arrived…time to go to Las Vegas and begin rehearsals for the May 26 production.
Just when the artists think everything is set in place Jennifer and Marc arrived with an announcement…
…Jennifer and Marc are going to join the cast and perform for opening weekend of “Q’Viva”.
