Chicago White Sox Introduction

After the crappy year Alex Rios had last season (.227, 13 HR, 44 RBI), he needed something early to turn around all of that negative momentum.

That happened in the top of the ninth inning when Rios hit a solo HR to give the White Sox a 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers. It was the first win of the season for the Sox.

The game was also a huge milestone for White Sox 1B Paul Konerko. Tonight was Konerko's 2,000th game as a professional baseball player. Konerko celebrated in a big way as he went 2 for 4 with three RBI's. Fortunately, the homer capped off the milestone in a good way.
