Jordan Powers, 18, the Northern California teen who made national news about a week ago when she moved in with her high school teacher, 48-year-old Christopher Hooker, has broken their relationship after Hooker was arrested Friday on suspicion of sexually abusing another student about a decade ago, usatoday said.
Powers said she ‘had lost everything to this guy. I lost my senior year. I gave up all my friends at high school because they didn’t agree with me,’ that when her now former boyfriend teacher Hooker called from jail she told him, ‘we’re done.’
The teen’s mother, Tammie Powers, helped her daughter move out of the small apartment she shared with Hooker after his arrest and moved to an undisclosed location.
The student and teacher moved in together in February with Hooker quitting his job at the James Enoch High School and leaving his wife and three children.
They appeared in national talk shows and interviews maintaining they didn’t have sexual relationship until she turned 18.
But after Hooker’s arrest, being booked on one count of oral copulation with a minor, posting a $50,000 bail for his release, there’s a nil chance the two would ever be together again.
