It was Heidi Klum who went for divorce.

It's officially clear: Heidi Klum (38) was the one who filed for divorce from her partner Seal (49).



The top model took that decision because of "irreconcilable differences" between her and Seal, said Klum spokeswoman, Sara Jane.

Klum married the British pop star in May 2005 in Mexico, and they both had four children between them in seven years, the children have to stay with Heidi, but Seal will receive an access rights to visit.

Both have agreed to start their marriage separate property, as it can be seen from the court file records.



Klum and Seal were married for six and a half years and have three children together and a daughter from Heidi Klum previous relationship.

In January, they both announce the separation, led the two in to a storybook of marriage, belonged to the public declarations of love and the annual renewal of marriage oath.

Seal had released an album few day after the announcement of the separation and explained in a U.S. talk show, the reason they couldn't work it out, that didn't meant the complete end of the relationship.



"We are in many ways for the rest of our lives to stay connected through our children and our immense admiration, respect and love for each other," he said. Since the beginning of the year, the couple lived separately.
