Cricket Extra - Points Table, Indian T20 Series 2010

MUMBAI, India (Sat, Apr 07) – Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Pune Warriors (PW) have won their respective matches yesterday night on day three of Indian Premier League (IPL Season 5) 2012 and got the first and second position respectively on the points table.

In the first match, Pune Warriors handed upset defeat to Mumbai Indians by 28 runs with the help of brave 39-run innings by Steven Smith that helped Pune to get a competitive score of 129 on board, which ultimately proved too much in front of disciplined bowling effort by Pune bowlers, led by Ashok Dinda who claimed 4 wicket.

In the second match of the day; Rajastha Royals’ Ajinkya Rahane played an explosive innings of 98 runs off just 66 balls that helped his team piling up massive total of 191 in 20 overs. The target of 192 was never looked achievable by Kings XI Punjab as they kept on losing wickets with regular intervals. Kevon Cooper claimed 4 wickets for Rajsthan conceding only 26 runs to help restrict the opponents at 160 and winning by comprehensive margin of 31 runs.

Rajasthan is on the top of points table after this big victory, followed by Pune and Delhi; while Punjab has dropped down to last spot after the latest defeat. (Complete and updated points table is given above).
