Are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West testing waters for relationship

Rumor has it that reality starlet Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West might actually be taking their friendship to the next level to see how things go.

It had just been a short while since Kim Kardashian was in the news for her divorce from Kris Humphries. Now the reality starlet has started making waves again, and this time around for supposedly dating rapper and friend Kanye West. Even though, in an upcoming issue of Cosmopolitan UK, Kim Kardashian says that she is not even close to dating again, it seems that she might have said these words a little too soon.

The dating rumors involving Kim Kardashian and Kanye West started surfacing around two weeks back and were immediately denied by both the camps. Kim Kardashian even appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show to clear these rumors, but it seems that now there is something really sprouting up between the two.

Kim Kardashian is currently in New York City to co-host "The Today Show" on Friday. She was seen leaving Kanye West's apartment building on Thursday morning after the two went to watch box office hit "The Hunger Games" on Wednesday night. Both Kim and Kanye were then seen having a lunch date at New York's Serafina restaurant and according to witnesses, they looked very happy together. Kim and Kanye later also went for shopping and were seen at various malls across the city. Even though both of them tried their best to keep themselves out of the public eye, they could not keep that low, as their dating rumors were spread all over.

At this point in time, neither Kim Kardashian nor Kanye West has confirmed that they are in a relationship, but a source told PEOPLE magazine, "Kim and Kanye have now just started dating," but the couple were only testing the waters to "see where it goes."

Kim Kardashian was previously married for just 72 days to New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries. The marriage ended in a bitter divorce. Most people said that this was just a publicity stunt to get good ratings for her show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians", but nothing can be said for sure in this regard.

Meanwhile, Kanye West has had a crush on Kim Kardashian for quite a long time now. He even mentions her in an upcoming single called "Theraflu". In the song, he raps, "And I admit I fell in love with Kim..'Round the same time she fell in love with him... That's cool, babygirl, do your thing... Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team."
