A Detroit teenager killed his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend and mom with an axe before fatally shooting himself with a gun on Wednesday at the girl’s home in Sunnydale near Five Mile and Inkster Road in Livonia, FoxNews.com reports.

Investigators say, the 19-year-old Brian Douglas White had managed to enter the house of his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend and went on a rampage killing the girl’s mother Angela Kim Staperfene, 46. White killed her ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend Jacob Lee Burns, 19, of Livonia, using an axe and shot himself with a gun.

The girl, who has not been named by police, is a senior at Stevenson High School in Livonia. She managed to get outside their home and call 911. She was injured during the violent attack, reports say.

Lisa Collins, a neighbor and friend to the girl- now in good condition, described her as a happy and outgoing person.

"She's a good friend of mine," said classmate Amanda Mellville. "When I was watching the news, I was about to cry because I thought she was like in trouble. I mean, I still feel bad for her, but it's sad,” Collins said.

According to reports, police ruled the crime a double murder and a suicide.
