Actresses Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke and Allison Williams were on location along with the series’ Executive Producers Lena Dunham and Judd Apatow to celebrate the New York premiere of HBO's “Girls” at the School of Visual Arts Theater on April 4, 2012 in New York City.
Attending was actress Claire Danes (famous for 2005 film “Shopgirl”) who wore the most unusual dress that featured a patchwork of prints and colors including a black and gold grid, bright forest green with one block of black across the bodice and both sleeves. She accessorized with a black clutch bag and black peeptoe pumps.
Chloe Sevigny attended in a high-necked long sleeve mini dress with a floral pattern in turquoise, yellow and black, teaming her outfit with cute chain embellished ankle booties and a matching clutch bag.
Leslie Mann who was attending with Executive Producer Judd Apatow, turned up the heat just a notch in her strapless bronze and black lace gown, accessorizing with a matching satin clutch bag.
Kyra Sedgwick, attending with actor Kevin Bacon was right on-trend with her bright red jeans if a bit casual, while Executive Producer Lena Dunham pulled out all the stops in her black and silver chiffon gown!
This new offering by HBO, which also stars Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky, is being touted as being “like nothing else on TV” and “nothing like its hit ‘Sex and the City’” to make sure that people are not left thinking “ah, another Sex and the City!”
With the main purpose of TV – ok Cable – being escapism, if this series is realistic and a whole lot duller than the likes of Sex and the City, why would we want to watch? Oh, they probably have a few surprises…
