Yesterday, my youngest son - a resident of Arlington, Texas - texted me to tell me abut a dream he'd had in which there was a demon in his house. He was frightened but he audibly commanded it to leave in Jesus' Name and it did. He said he was awakened by his own voice commanding the spirit to go.
As you may know by now, there was severe weather in Texas yesterday. Though we only received heavy rain at our house, I noticed on TV there was a Tornado Warning for Arlington in the afternoon. Having several friends and realtives there, I'm in the habit of praying when I see things like that.
Later, I attempted to call his wife, my daughter-in-law.
I tried a half-dozen times throughout the afternoon. Tried texting her, too. Around 5PM, I finally received a text from her. She reported seeing a tornado from their 3rd floor apartment. She grabbed Zoe, her baby - my 7th grandchild - and their dog, and ran to the Manager's Office. She said, with debris swirling, they barely made it before the tornado hit the complex.
That evening, my son called me. He knew, after the couple talked, their apartment complex had been hit but had no idea it was as bad as it was. Vehicles had been tossed about, trees were down on top of cars, the Red Cross was there along with emergency vehicles and several units had been destroyed.
He told me how, on Monday, he prayed, if the house they had made an offer on over the weekend was part of God's will for them, the seller would agree. Fifteen minutes later, he got the call; offer accepted! He was so excited! The next day, that tornado ripped through their apartment community. Talk about a confirmation.
Time to move!
I suggested to him the SAME Spirit of Death who tried to kill his wife and baby Zoe (which means "Life of God") in a bad car accident about 5 months ago - traffic backed-up for miles one afternoon in Fort Worth - was the same one assigned to them yesterday. We ARE spirit beings, after all; maybe it was his spirit-man doing the work while his flesh-man slept! And he DID command the spirit an an audible voice.
The 3-story apartment units that were destroyed had nobody at home in them when the tornado struck. Hard to believe his wife and baby were two of the very few who were still at home.
One more thing: her car sustained a few small scratches on it from roofing shingles. Not bad when other cars were moved all over and stacked on top of each other.
So, are YOU praying for your children? No matter how old they are, I hope so.
