Total Recall, a famous 1990 American science fiction action film, is back in headlines. The trailer of its remake has been released. Fans are searching for the trailer online in a large number - which is why it has become one of the most searched items on Google.

E-ONLINE talks about the exciting look of the remake, which stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston and Jessica Biel. The preview looks extremely classy with a lot of special effects. The original movie was only essentially known for its special effects, so the legacy had to continue. In case you still haven’t seen the trailer, you can visit this link on Apple’s website to stream the trailer in high resolution.

Farrell is staring as Douglas Quaid in the remake. He visits Rekall, a company that can implant memories of a virtual vacation, but this experiment doesn’t end up as expected and results in a lot of chaos.

The plot of "Total Recall" revolves around an unsophisticated construction worker, Doug Quaid (Schwarzenegger previously), who is either a victim of a failed memory implant procedure or a freedom fighter from Mars relocated to Earth. Douglas tries to fight all the immoral and corrupt powers in his brain with a possibility that none of these events are real. This could eventually damage his brain.

"Total Recall" originally starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rachel Ticotin, Sharon Stone, Michael Ironside and Ronny Cox. The movie did quite well on the box office and was one of the biggest hits of its time. It is reported that Collin Farrell will take up Arnold Schwarzenegger’s role in the possible remake, which will hit theaters this summer, on 3rd August.

"Total Recall" is based on the famous Philip K. Dick’s story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale". The original movie was directed by Paul Verhoeven and written by Ronald Shusett, Dan O'Bannon, Jon Povill, and Gary Goldman. Owing to spectacular special affects, "Total Recall" won a Special Achievement Academy Award for its visual effects. The soundtrack composed by Jerry Goldsmith won the BMI Film Music Award.

The upcoming remake will try to live up to the original's reputation of a complete action-packed adventure by using state of the art special effects. You get to see flying cars, heroic battle scenes or a Rekall center takedown with cutting edge special effects.
