UPDATED: At least 32 people were killed and 11 survived on a plane crash in Russia.

The ATR 72, a twin-engine, turbo-prop plane operated by UTair was carrying 43 people on board. The crash happened about 30 kilometres from the western Siberian city of Tyumen, shortly after taking off Monday morning on a flight to Surgut, the BBC reported.

The cause of the crash was not yet clear but a search team found the plane burst into flames in a snowy field about 35km (22 miles) from Tyumen, report says.

Of the said numbers of survivors, five of them were reported to be on a critical conditions.
