LONDON, (Reuters) - British singer Robbie Williams [Unlink]
and Ayda his wife are expecting a child, he said on his website on Friday. Williams, 38, said that the birth is expected at the end of the year.
"We saw the ultrasound and cried ... we look at babies in commercials and got her eyes full of tears ... the nursery is already planned," he wrote on his official blog, adding that he could not wait to be "Dad ".
According to British tabloids, Williams, who rose to fame with boy band Take That, married to actress Ayda Field in Beverly Hills in 2010.
After leaving Take That, he undertook a successful solo career and signed a major contract from the musical world with EMI in 2002.
In October, he announced he was switching from record to record their next studio album with Universal Music.
The singer, best known for hit songs "Angels" and "Let Me Entertain You," is the artist who has won more Brit Awards, the highest award of British music.
