A luxury cruise ship with about 600 passengers, mostly western tourists, drifting in waters Philippines today after a fire occurs as acrew member injured.

Fire caused the ship's two engines damaged Azamara Quest 5 on Tuesday night when the ship was en route to the port of SandakanMalaysia, Ministry of Transport spokesman told the PhilippinesNicasio Conti DZBB in Manila.

Ship most European and American travelers, but none of them were injured. However, a crew member was on board for medical treatment, the spokesman said.

Coast Guard Philippines has sent a rescue ship while the shipoperators based in Miami, Florid (USA) - Royal CaribbeanInternational - this is a tug to the area in the middle of Sulu Sea.

Robert Aurelio, local staff of Wallem Philippines Transport Company representing the Azamara Quest, said he had noinformation about the fire.

Azamara Quest departing from Manila on Wednesday and plans tovisit Indonesia, Mr. Aurelio said.

The Malta flag cruise ships are described on the site is 30,277 tonsheavy vessel with 355 crew and can accommodate up to 694passengers.
