Ms. Mercado said: "This measles outbreak is likely to cause high mortality in the context of the level of malnutrition in many areas ofYemen close to the rate we have seen in Afghanistan or Somalia.With that as the number of children who have fled their homes tolive in cramped tents day and all of that increase the risk ofmeasles epidemic could be even more widespread ".
