Android software will power hardware from partners like Samsung and Asustek to compete with iPad and Kindle devices

Google plans to open a online store to sell directly to consumers tablets, reported "The Wall Street Journal" .

The online store provide tablets of Samsung Electronics and Asustek Computersoftware based on Android from Google, according to a report released on Thursday, citing unnamed sources and Reuters could not confirm. Google declined to comment.

Google Android smartphone sold, the Nexus One, directly to consumers in 2010,but the store closed four months later because it did not meet their expectations.

Now it's up retail partners and suppliers to sell Android phones. That software has become the operating system world number one, ahead of the manufacturer using the iPhone , Apple.

But Apple dominates the market for tablets with your iPhone. The tablet Fire Kindle from Amazon, which sells for $ 199, works with open source code of Android, but the device has an interface that does not use as many Google services.

The search giant could share the mark of some of the tablets sold through the store and has considered the grant of the cost of future versions to make them more competitive with the Kindle Fire, according to the Journal.
