Killer Vigilante George Zimmerman Reportedly Obsessed With Law Enforcement

It is a sad state of affairs when activists put a price on the head of a killer and the administration is caught on the horns of a dilemma.

The announcement of the bounty was done by one Mikhail Muhammad, leader of a militant organization which calls itself the New Back Panther Party. It seems he has given a call that 10,000 black men join forces to hunt down and eliminate George Zimmerman who has apparently gone into hiding.

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth appears to be his philosophy – a philosophy which cannot be accepted in a civilized world.

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer had stalked and killed the unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin who was going to visit the girlfriend of his father in The Retreat at Twin Lakes. 17-year old Trayvon was hooded and was carrying a bag of Skittles, a popular type of confectionary.

It seems Zimmerman had rung up the Emergency services at least 50 times in the past year to report suspicious activities of black males in the neighborhood – records exist to prove this.

If an ignorant, unapologetically racist group like the New Black Panthers is allowed to spout their venom and try to practice vigilante justice, why not a White equivalent, such as "Skinheads" or Neo Nazis? Why should it be a hate crime for Whites and not for Blacks? Why should I teach my kids to be colorblind when so many blacks bear them ill will because they blame all inequities and shortcomings on skin color. Sad thing is, I don't see the government and media policies of allowing and enabling these double standards as allaying the problem. To the contrary, Whites such as myself are being polarized to arm themselves to protect their families and property from Blacks who see us as fair game. And, yes, that IS racial profiling. Their behavior demands it.

I personally feel this is more about the "Stand Your Ground Law" that certainly targets african americans more so than any other race...but this law is bad, any person or persons with an agenda can exercise that law, despite the color of their skin because any other races too wear a hood, or hat in the dark. And, any one of us or our children can get lost or take short cuts for that matter...

i fully agree with you ... this incident should not be allowed to escalate into a racist affair ... all concerned must exercise restraint and not allow it to go out of hand ...

I agree, any 'racist' motivations should be a part of the resolution/revelations from the incident(s) and not add to increased tensions that might lead to unrestrained actions. I'd like to hear Rodney King speak on the current state of affairs!

this is an extremely sensitive issue and must be handled with kid gloves ... no one would want a repeat of the Rodney King affair ..

From all the information the public have so far, it is becoming much more evident, as I’ve first thought, when I first heard of the incident, reasons to believe that Zimmerman action to an extent, demonstrated a certain level of insecurity, which led to the whole incident.
It is now his father and his friend who is telling his side of the story, which somehow, seems odd. Being in hiding is all an act, for them to concoct a pack of lies.
Obviously, with his father being a retired Virginia magistrate judge and Vietnam veteran, there is what appears to be some privilege, where justice is supposedly meant to have been served.

let us hope that the proceedings would be transparent enough and no one would have any reason to cast aspersions on the agencies who would conduct the investigation .......
Reply By JeniferLamug JeniferLamug | about 1 year ago
I fully agree with you. If Zimmerman is not guilty, there is no reaosn for him to hide.
Reply By prabirghose prabirghose | about 1 year ago
yes ... hiding can be interpreted as an indirect of guilt ...
Reply By Aloysius Aloysius | about 1 year ago
"No reason to hide???" With a $12,000 reward for his assassination, offered in the name of a violent, racist organization whose namesake was composed of robbers and murderers?
He's not hiding from the police. He's hiding from the vigilante necktie party being solicited to rise up and hunt him down. Sounds smart to me whether he's guilty of any crime or not. If he can keep out of their sight, he may not have to shoot any of them.
He is an established member of the community. His family is established and well-known, solid citizens from the accounts. So after he was arrested and taken in for investigation, he was released on his own recognizance. If the prosecutor believes there is probable cause to prosecute, appropriate bond will be set.
Reply By prabirghose prabirghose | about 1 year ago
from all accounts, he is guilty ... he is probably repenting in private on his actions and is now afraid to come out in the open for fear of direct repercussions ...
Reply By JeniferLamug JeniferLamug | about 1 year ago
I fully agree with you.

Muhammad is soliciting murder and should be arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned, or fined and put on probation at the least.
Private rewards can only be for "information leading to the arrest of the person who ____________." Any solicitation to seize such person is a solicitation to kidnap or even to kill that person, and the person has the right to defend himself from any self-appointed or privately hired bounty hunter.
Legal bounty hunters must be trained, licensed and bonded against violation of a person's rights.
Reply By LittleRock LittleRock | about 1 year ago
Maybe they are trying for that one, I mean how would it look that Muhammad got arrested and Zimmerman still hadn't?...The news is already out of control...
Reply By Aloysius Aloysius | about 1 year ago
It is hardly clear that Zimmerman committed any crime. Offering a reward for the assassination of anyone is a crime on its face. As Zimmerman is already well known to the police and to the prosecutor, there is no legitimate reason for any reward for information leading to his capture, and certainly not by private persons.
Some media have been claiming that it is illegal for neighborhood watchers to go armed but no Florida law has been shown that suspends carry permits while on N.W. patrol. The N.W. organization may have a policy against it but that may be no more than protection of the organization from lawsuits.

Aloysius has it right re. "hiding." I won't repeat. Read what he wrote. Zimmerman's "hiding" isn't the same as the modus operandi for criminal suspects in Thailand, who run away from their crime scene to gain time for their relatives to raise money to bribe police and officials, or pay off the victim's family not to file charges..
