The diplomats and intelligence officials said the U.S. military has allowed Israel Azerbaijan access to air bases to support the country in a potential attack against Iran.

Quoted unnamed senior official, Foreign Policy magazine that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel had "increased therisk of an Israeli air strike against Iran".

The article states that the access of Azerbaijani air base near the Iranian border could allow the fighters Irsael have the logisticaladvantage when performing bombed the nuclear facilities of Iranthat Jewish state is suspected nuclear weapons development.

Azerbaijan has voiced immediately denied the reports.Azerbaijan Defense Ministry said the claim was "ridiculous andbaseless".

A senior official in Azerbaijan's presidential administration saidsuch rumors are "aimed at harming relations between Azerbaijanand Iran."



Relations between Tehran and Baku had become strained inrecent months as Iran are not happy with Azerbaijan becomingfriends with Israel and Azerbaijan about buying arms worthhundreds of millions of dollars from the Jewish state .
